Revised 2011 Pricing
The continuation of extraordinary increases in the commodity markets has challenged our industry in many ways. Our most common raw material, copper, has increased over 46% in the last 6 months. The weakening US dollar and cost of fuel, transportation, brass, and other related expenses have also continued to increase at accelerated rates through the last half of this year. We have not had a price increase for 2 1/2 years, since June 2008, but the business expense increases are too large and have come too quickly for us to continue to absorb.
To support the levels of service and quality our customers have come to expect, we are forced to adjust our prices to offset a small portion of the impact. The adjustment will average an approximate 6% increase (depending on product) effective Monday, Feb 7, 2011.
However due to our component sourcing program, please know several of our most common cutting tips (1-101, 3-101, GPN, 3-GPN, 6290, 6290NX, etc.) will actually see a price decrease. The critical machining operations and 100% flame testing are still performed on these cutting tips in our USA facility, continuing our reputation for high productivity and exceptional quality.
The new version of the 2011 price list will be available on our website for your download convenience at www.flametechnologies.com, on January 24, 2011. Electronic or paper versions of our price guide will be available on request. Please contact Avis Burton at 1-800-749-3682 Ext 49 or e-mail for a copy. This new price guide will supersede all previously published prices for Flame Technologies Products. Purchase orders received on or after February 7, 2011 will be invoiced according to the new price list.
We thank you for your continued support of Flame Tech and look forward to continuing to offer you the best in product, quality and service.
